MAPKA is an interactive ski-map and planning website operated personally by Alex Bezrodny (“we”). Contact: abezrodx@gmail.com. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Map and route information

MAPKA is for exploration and advance planning, not safety-critical or turn-by-turn navigation. Routes, piste connections, distances, gradients, durations, return times, buildings and accommodation information are estimates derived from third-party data. Coverage can be missing or wrong; imagery may show summer conditions. We do not verify live piste or lift openings, closures, weather, avalanche risk, lift hours, queues, access from a hotel door, or your physical ability. GPS guidance and route simulation are experimental; GPS can be inaccurate or unavailable.

Before and during skiing, check official resort information, signs, barriers, patrol instructions and current conditions. Stay on permitted terrain and ski within your ability. Do not use a device while moving where doing so would be unsafe. MAPKA is not an emergency service; contact local emergency services or ski patrol when needed. Never rely on MAPKA alone to decide whether terrain is safe or whether you can return before closing.

Accounts and sharing

You may explore without an account. If you register, provide an email address you control, keep your password secure, and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. You may delete your account through account settings. You are responsible for the routes you choose to create and share. A shared route link may reveal the planned resort, route, date, time and chosen start location to anyone who receives the link. Do not share a link containing information you want kept private. Joining a ride group does not share live location. Live location sharing is a separate, optional action that requires your explicit consent and browser location permission. If you enable it, your position and reported accuracy are visible to verified members of that private group while the MAPKA page is open and in the foreground. You may stop sharing at any time; the app hides positions after 90 seconds without an update. GPS may be inaccurate, delayed or unavailable. Do not rely on it for safety, rescue, navigation or meeting coordination, and do not use the website while skiing if doing so is unsafe. Share only with people you trust.

Accommodation and third-party services

Accommodation markers are map information, not verified availability, offers, bookings, access routes or endorsements. External websites and map-data providers have their own terms and privacy practices. Their content can change independently of MAPKA.

Acceptable use and intellectual property

Use MAPKA lawfully and do not interfere with its operation, scrape at harmful scale, attempt unauthorized access, or misrepresent another person. MAPKA's original interface and branding belong to the operator. Map and data layers remain subject to their respective providers' licences and attributions. These terms do not give you ownership of any third-party data.

Availability, warranties and liability

We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we cannot promise uninterrupted operation or error-free data. To the extent permitted by applicable law, MAPKA is provided “as is,” without a guarantee that any route or map is accurate, complete or suitable for your activity. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for losses caused by reliance on estimated map or route information, service interruption, or third-party content. Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or removes mandatory consumer or privacy rights.

Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms and publish the new date here. Material changes affecting registered users should be brought to their attention when reasonably practicable. Israeli law governs these terms, subject to mandatory protections that apply where you live. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes; these terms do not remove any non-waivable forum rights.
